Home visits, by prior arrangement

Telephone advice; we are happy to provide you with advice by telephone as long as it is appropriate for us to do so.

Repeat Prescriptions

           We ask for 24 hours notice so we can prepare and have your pet's prescription ready for you to collect in reception.

A repeat prescription re-examination will be required at regular pre-determined intervals so that we can monitor your pet's health and response to the medication   

Second opinions
           We are happy to accept requests for a second opinion about an ongoing case. We will need a full relevant case history from your veterinary surgeon to enable us to provide you and your pet with the best care and advice.
Preventative therapy
           Vaccinations are recommended for all dogs, cats and rabbits.
            Rabies vaccination for pet's passport programme.
            Flea and worming programmes must be applied at regular intervals to prevent re-infestation.

Puppy Growth rate
Monitoring the growth rate of “large breed” puppies. The puppies are weighed every 2 weeks for the first year of life and dietary adjustments recommended to try to prevent manifestation of developmental skeletal disorders such as Hip and Elbow dysplasia. This service is free for clients purchasing Large Breed Growth diet from the practice.

Weight control clinic

This is a nurse clinic focused on weight reduction and maintenance to keep your pet fit for life.

A small identification chip is placed under the skin on the back between the shoulder blades. The microchip can be inserted during a consultation or any anaesthetic procedure. Pet Passports

            Issued from 3 months of age at the very earliest.

            Your pet requires

1.      Microchip

2.      Rabies vaccination. Can be done at 4 weeks age earliest, and again at 3 months of age.

3.      Rabies vaccination booster as per your pet's passport

4.      Allows entry in UK 21 days after the first rabies vaccination.
